The Chancel Bells is a 4-octave adult handbell group that plays at an advanced l evel of ringing. Turnover in this group is rare, but occasionally a ringer takes a sabbatical and there are openings for other ringers to play.

Currently, this handbell group rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 in the Handbell Room on the third level of Heritage Hall. Several times during the school year, this group provides special music for the 8:45 and 10:55 services.

First Church Chimers

DSCN1278

First Church Chimers is a handchime group for grades 3 and beyond that meets on Mondays from 4:00 until 4:45 during the school year. Rehearsals are in the Handbell Room located on the third level of Heritage Hall.

This chime group is a building block for learning to ring handbells. The Music Department sees this group as an opportunity to reinforce musical skills in a hands-on way, thus enhancing other music groups or lessons in which  these kids may participate. Even though the chime music has no words, we emphasize that it is another way to praise God!

Several times during the school year, this group provides special music in the 10:55 service.
